Norseman Park Received the 2015 RRHBA Landscape Award at the Master Awards

Norseman Park has been delighting Harbour Landing residents and visitors since opening in August, 2015. Recently, the area’s largest park had the honour of being recognized by the Regina and Region Home Builder’s Association (RRHBA).

Norseman Park features a basketball court, soccer field, playground and its famous skatepark, designed by Kanten Russell, a pro skateboarder from San Diego. Altogether, the park was a $3 million investment.

“Parks and greenspace are integral to Dream Development’s vision of creating communities where families can live full, gratifying lives,” says Evan Hunchak, Dream’s General Manager. “We’re thrilled that our labour of love has been recognized with a Master Award.”

The RRHBA’s Landscape Project Award recognizes, “all areas of residential landscape construction, including innovation in the landscaping process, materials, design and detailing.”

Throughout the last part of 2015, the community rallied around the skate plaza as a safe and constructive outlet for Regina’s young people. We are proud to be an ongoing part of that, and appreciate the support the RRHBA shows with this award.

It’s especially exciting for us, because this is the second year in a row Dream Development’s Harbour Landing parks have been recognized for excellence by the RRHBA Masters Awards. Last year Fairchild Park, or as we call it, our “dinosaur park,” was the recipient of this same award. Thanks RRHBA, for helping us share the excitement about our signature park projects.
